Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Odessa). They blew past the Lake View Chiefs 68-46 on Tuesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 62-51 last Saturday.

Lake View's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nic Leyva, who posted ten points. The dominant performance also gave Leyva a new career-high in blocks (two). Another player making a difference was Joseph Delgado, who went 5 of 12 en route to 12 points.

Odessa is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 12-12 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.9 points per game. As for Lake View, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-11.

Odessa wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 58-50 loss against Permian on the 9th. As for Lake View, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 56-43 victory against Big Spring on the 10th.
