Football Game Preview: Bound Brook Crusaders vs. New Providence Pioneers

The Bound Brook Crusaders will venture away from home to square off against the New Providence Pioneers at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Bound Brook will bounce into Friday's matchup after beating Middlesex, who they had gone 0-4 against in their four prior meetings. The Crusaders came out on top against the Bluejays by a score of 38-28 on Friday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Crusaders considering their seven-point performance the game before.

Meanwhile, New Providence strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They walked away with a 21-10 win over Verona. The 21-point effort marked the Pioneers' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Bound Brook's record now sits at 5-2. As for New Providence, their record is now 7-0.

Bound Brook was taken down by New Providence 41-14 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can the Crusaders avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
