Basketball Recap: Manual Picks Up Eighth Straight Win at Home

Manual had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.8 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 40-34 W against the Bruce Randolph Grizzlies. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Thunderbolts also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2021.

Manual got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jaci Collins-Falcon out in front who almost dropped a double-double with 17 points and nine rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Collins-Falcon has scored at least a third of Manual's points. Another player making a difference was Dayjah Fox, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 13 boards.

Manual's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-2. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.6 points over those games.
