Volleyball Recap: Leadership Academy Starts Season with Win Against Glenn

Leadership Academy had to kick off their season on the road on Monday, but they showed no ill effects. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Glenn Bobcats. That's more bragging rights for the Falcons, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-13, 25-20.

Leadership Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Madison East led the charge by getting 11 aces. Those 11 aces gave East a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kaitlyn Taylor, who had seven aces.

They weren't the only good server: Leadership Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 29 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Glenn only served three aces.

Leadership Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Trinity on the 13th. As for Glenn, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Walkertown on the 12th.
