Football Recap: Kerens Extends Winning Streak to Four

It was a proper cat-fight when Kerens challenged Scurry-Rosser on Friday. The Bobcats enjoyed a cozy 33-14 win over the Wildcats. Winning may never get old, but the Bobcats sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Although Scurry-Rosser took the loss, they still got scores from Caleb Peavy and Case Kilgore.

Kerens' victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Scurry-Rosser, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. After each having a week off, Kerens and Cross Roads will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on October 10. The matchup will give Kerens their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Scurry-Rosser, they will venture away from home to challenge Rice at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will also be the Wildcats' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
