Basketball Recap: Lafayette Comes Up Short

Lafayette was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 54-44 to the Hernando Tigers. The Commodores were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.

Lafayette's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Hernando, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Lafayette will head out to take on Marshall Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hernando, they will challenge Independence at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
