Lakes was forced to take a big defeat against they on Tuesday, they got the better of them on Thursday. They came out on top against the Grant Community Bulldogs by a score of 8-5. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Eagles as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Lakes' victory bumped their record up to 18-10. As for Grant Community, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-13 record this season.

Lakes will head out to square off against Johnsburg at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Eagles 3.7, the Skyhawks 4) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Grant Community, they will square off against Rolling Meadows at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
