Baseball Recap: Santa Fe Comes Up Short

If Santa Fe was riding high fresh off their 16-0 takedown of Whittier on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Chiefs came up short against the Pacifica Christian Tritons on Saturday, falling 10-1.

Santa Fe saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nicolas Alvarez, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Santa Fe's loss dropped their record down to 9-15. As for Pacifica Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season.

Santa Fe will be playing in front of their home fans against El Rancho at 3:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Pacifica Christian, they will head out to take on Capistrano Valley Christian at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
