Basketball Recap: Loara Comes Up Short

Loara was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell to the Rancho Alamitos Vaqueros 55-51. The Saxons were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Vaqueros earlier this season, when they won 62-58.

Rancho Alamitos found their leader in sophomore Osvaldo Ramos, who went 11 for 17 on his way to 24 points and eight rebounds. The match was Ramos' third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Inoke Malo, who went 6 of 13 on his way to 19 points in addition to six rebounds and four steals.

Loara's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Rancho Alamitos, they moved to 3-10 with that win, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

Loara will challenge Estancia at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Rancho Alamitos, they will square off against Kennedy at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
