Basketball Game Preview: Grandview Wolves vs. Chatfield Chargers

The Grandview Wolves will challenge the Chatfield Chargers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Grandview's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five contests.

On Saturday, Grandview was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 72-66 to Legend. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (58), the Wolves still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Chatfield ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They escaped with a win against Lakewood by the margin of a single free throw, 51-50. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Chargers as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Grandview has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.0 points per game. As for Chatfield, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 5-8.
