Baseball Recap: Chavez Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Chavez's offense. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Arvin Bears on Thursday. The Titans' loss continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row dating back to last season.

Chavez got a good showing from Christian Carino, who pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, Chavez saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Sixtos, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base. Sixtos is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season.

Chavez's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Looking ahead, Chavez will square off against Pioneer Valley at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Arvin, they will face off against South at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
