Baseball Recap: Saturday's Loss Ends Jimtown's Winning Streak

Jimtown dropped their record down to 14-5 on Saturday, which also ended the team's seven-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Fairfield Falcons by a score of 6-5. The Jimmies were not able to make up for their loss to the Falcons from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Jimtown saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ben McAllister, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI. Mason Armstrong was another, going 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

As for Fairfield, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games.

On Fairfield's side, Logan Miller looked comfortable as he tossed 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, Eli Miller was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Looking ahead, Jimtown will venture away from home to take on South Bend Adams at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Fairfield, they will welcome Mishawaka at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
