Volleyball Recap: Nansemond River Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Nansemond River was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Western Branch Bruins. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bruins this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

While Nansemond River was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Western Branch's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-20, 25-22.

Nansemond River now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Western Branch, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-3.

Nansemond River has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Lakeland on the 14th. As for Western Branch, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Deep Creek on the 14th.
