            Basketball Recap: Columbus International Lions vs. Whitehall-Yearling Rams        
        
		
        
        
            On Saturday, the Columbus International Lions took a  blow against the Whitehall-Yearling Rams, falling  57-17. The  contest marked the Lions' lowest-scoring  game so far this season.

 Columbus International's loss  came despite strong showings from  Leila Carter and  Marley Benson.  Carter  almost  dropped  a double-double on 11 points and nine  rebounds, while  Benson  posted  no points and six  rebounds. Carter has been hot recently, having  posted eight or more  rebounds the last four times she's  played.
 Whitehall-Yearling got their  win on the backs of several key players, but it was  Jayla Dukes out in front who  went 8 of 11 on her way to 17 points and six  rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of  Kyeona Myers, who  had 12  points in addition to six  boards and five  steals.
This is the second loss in a row for Columbus International and  nudges their season record down to 4-2. As for Whitehall-Yearling, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record  this season.
 Columbus International wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  contest,  a  71-36  victory against Northland on the 10th. As for Whitehall-Yearling, they also  didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  game,  a  60-40  defeat against Buckeye Valley on the 10th.
