Basketball Recap: Andrew Jackson Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Andrew Jackson was the 42-38 winner over Oakleaf when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Andrew Jackson Tigers fell 57-49 to the Oakleaf Knights on Tuesday.

Oakleaf's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Roslyn Weston, who posted 18 points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals. The dominant performance also gave Weston a new career-high in assists (three). Another player making a difference was Jasmin Davis, who put up 14 points and five rebounds.

Andrew Jackson's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-5. As for Oakleaf, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.

Andrew Jackson didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 69-33 win against Leon on the 10th. As for Oakleaf, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 47-33 victory against Nease on the 9th.
