Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, South Adams couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Central Noble Cougars by a score of 4-3 on Tuesday. The Starfires' defeat signaled the end of their ten-game winning streak.

Bekah Patterson was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.

South Adams' loss dropped their record down to 24-6. As for Central Noble, they are on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 16 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-5 record this season.

South Adams does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Central Noble, they will face off against Rossville at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Hornets will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something the Cougars surely won't give up without a fight.
