Baseball Recap: Juniata Gets the Win

Juniata lost to Greenwood back in April, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. The Indians came out on top in a nail-biter against the Wildcats, sneaking past 5-4. That's two games straight that the Indians have won by just one run.

Daylyn Kennedy made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Kennedy was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. He is becoming a predictor of Juniata's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 7-2-1 (and 2-6 when he doesn't).

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Drew Geedey, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Hayden Burd, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI.

Juniata now has a winning record of 9-8-1. As for Greenwood, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-13.
