Baseball Recap: Dickinson Takes a Loss

Dickinson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 7-1 to the Carteret Ramblers, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Rams of the 11-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Dickinson saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Stephen Duran, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. Duran is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Dickinson's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Carteret, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-6.

Looking ahead, Dickinson is taking a road trip to square off against Snyder at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Carteret, they will welcome Kennedy Memorial at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
