Recap: San Marin Mustangs vs. Marin Catholic Wildcats
The San Marin Mustangs put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They managed a 10-6 victory over Marin Catholic. This was payback for San Marin, who suffered a 32-15 loss the last time these two teams met.
Leading San Marin to victory were Blake Hart and Dominic Ingrassia. Hart picked up 132 receiving yards and a touchdown, while Ingrassia threw for 240 yards and a touchdown. Hart's longest reception was for an incredible 81 yards.
San Marin's win was their tenth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their overall record up to 10-0. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 42.1 points per game. As for Marin Catholic, their loss ended a 12-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. San Marin will take on Kennedy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Kennedy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 613th, while San Marin is ranked 71st). As for Marin Catholic, they have the luxury of staying home another week and will welcome Bishop O'Dowd at 1:00 p.m. on November 11th.
