Volleyball Recap: Labette County Takes a Loss

Labette County lost against Parsons last Thursday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Grizzlies fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 2-1.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Labette County sadly wound up on the wrong side. The final score came out to 25-15, 23-25, 25-20.

Amery Baker paced Labette County's offense, picking up 14 kills. Baker got some help from Macie Morin and her 14 assists. Morin was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Labette County now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Parsons, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Vikings beat Labette County by a score of 2-1 later that day.
