With a playoff win on the line, Carbondale rose to the challenge on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 win over the Herrin Tigers. This was a revenge game for the Terriers: when they faced off against the Tigers two weeks ago, they had to take a 2-1 loss.
Carbondale's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was CJ Robison, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one double. That's the most hits Robison has posted since back in April.
