Football Recap: Interboro Comes Up Short

Interboro extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to six on Thursday, dropping them down to 0-2. They took a blow against the Bayard Rustin Golden Knights, falling 35-7. The Buccaneers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Golden Knights from their previous meeting back in August of 2024.

As for Bayard Rustin, they pushed their record up to 2-0 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 33.3 points over those games.

Will Garner was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 98 yards and a pair of touchdowns. His longest rush was for an incredible 80 yards. Another back making a difference was Colin Baldesari, who rushed for 58 yards and one score on only five carries.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Interboro will welcome Plymouth Whitemarsh at 7:00 p.m. on the 5th. As for Bayard Rustin, they will square off against Pope John Paul II at 7:00 p.m. on the 5th.
