Volleyball Recap: Sun Valley Magnet Falls to Burbank in First Game of Season

Sun Valley Magnet unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Burbank Bulldogs by a score of 3-2 on Wednesday. The Pioneers were not able to make up for their loss to the Bulldogs from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Sun Valley Magnet took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 25-18, 18-25, 18-25, 25-18, 17-15.

Burbank moved to 3-8 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Coming up, Sun Valley Magnet will look to defend their home court on the 28th against Community Charter at 4:00 p.m. As for Burbank, they have already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Flintridge Prep on the 21st.
