Soccer Game Preview: East Davidson vs. West Davidson

East Davidson is 0-9-1 against West Davidson since March of 2020 but things could change on Monday. The Golden Eagles will look to defend their home pitch against the Dragons at 6:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Monday.

East Davidson's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Thomasville with a sharp 3-0 victory. That's two games straight that East Davidson have won by exactly three goals.

Meanwhile, West Davidson strolled into their game on Thursday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They blew past McMichael 10-0. Considering West Davidson have won 17 games by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Their offense was hitting McMichael from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Lillian Benton led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by herself.

West Davidson pushed their record up to 20-0 with the win, which was their ninth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those nine contests. As for East Davidson, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-10 record this season.
