Volleyball Recap: St. John's Prep Starts Season with Win Against Monsignor Mcclancy

St. John's Prep had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against the Monsignor McClancy Crusaders by a score of 3-1.

St. John's Prep had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-21, 25-19, 25-20.

Eric Stankiewicz paced St. John's Prep's offense, picking up 13 kills. Stankiewicz got some help from Aleksi Pilinci and his 17 assists. Blake Williams controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

St. John's Prep will welcome Holy Cross at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Monsignor McClancy, they will square off against St. John's Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
