Bladensburg extends home losing streak to three

Recap: Bladensburg Mustangs vs. Eleanor Roosevelt Raiders

The Bladensburg Mustangs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight defeat. They were beaten by Eleanor Roosevelt 54-20. Bladensburg was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-8.

Eleanor Roosevelt got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jaiden D'antignac out in front who scored 12 points along with four steals. Another player making a difference was McKenzie D'antignac, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds and three steals.

Bladensburg dropped their record down to 2-12 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 14.7 points per game. As for Eleanor Roosevelt, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bladensburg will take on the Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Eleanor Roosevelt, they and the Bulldogs will face off at 7:15 p.m. on February 1st without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Bowie is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
