Basketball Recap: Chesterton Academy of the Holy Family Picks Up Eighth Straight Win at Home

Chesterton Academy of the Holy Family extended their home winning streak to eight games dating back to last season thanks to a huge performance from Elizabeth Beto. Chesterton Academy of the Holy Family simply couldn't be stopped on Wednesday as they easily beat the Islamic Foundation Chargers 69-20 thanks in part to Beto, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 14 boards. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 15.3 points per game.

Emma Mudron was another key player, going 6 for 14 on her way to 12 points in addition to seven rebounds and five steals. Those seven boards gave her a new career-high.

Chesterton Academy of the Holy Family's victory bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Islamic Foundation, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-5.

Chesterton Academy of the Holy Family will challenge Timothy Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Islamic Foundation, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Aqsa at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
