Softball Recap: Collinsville Takes a Loss

Collinsville was the 4-1 winner over Marquette Catholic when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Kahoks lost 9-2 to the Explorers on Friday. The Kahoks just can't catch a break and have now endured eight defeats in a row.

Bailey Demick was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run.

Collinsville's record is now 4-12. As for Marquette Catholic, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Collinsville will host Edwardsville at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Marquette Catholic, they will be playing at home against East Alton-Wood River at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Explorers are facing the Oilers at the right time seeing as the Oilers are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
