Soccer Recap: Pickens Takes a Loss

Pickens lost against Daniel back in April of 2019, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Blue Flame came up short against the Lions, falling 4-1. While losing is never fun, Pickens can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 165th, while Daniel are ranked 17th).

Pickens dropped their record down to 3-6 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Daniel, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.

Pickens will face off against Seneca at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Daniel, they are taking a road trip to take on St. Joseph's Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. St. Joseph's Catholic will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Daniel surely won't give up without a fight.
