Recap: Manchester Greyhounds vs. Varsity Opponent
The Manchester Greyhounds's game on Monday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 49-10 victory over Varsity Opponent. With Manchester ahead 32-8 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Manchester got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Abby Neria out in front who scored 16 points along with 5 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Maddie Dunn, who scored 9 points along with 5 steals.
Manchester's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Varsity Opponent, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost 11 of their last 12 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 17-82 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Manchester has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Clay at 6:00 p.m. on December 2nd. Hopefully Clay focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Thursday. As for Varsity Opponent, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against GEO Next Generation at 6:00 p.m.
