Volleyball Recap: Sturgis Comes Up Short

Sturgis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bronson Vikings.

Bronson found their leader in sophomore Hadley Wagaman, who had 15 digs and four aces. Wagaman is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Sturgis' defeat dropped their record down to 7-17-3. As for Bronson, with the victory, they broke their three-match losing streak and moved their record to 23-14-6.

Sturgis didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Mattawan on the 18th. As for Bronson, they will head out on the road to face off against Reading at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
