Softball Recap: Sherman Takes a Loss

Sherman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 19-7 to the Walnut Grove Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-1 back in March.

Madelyn Whitmire made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

Sherman's loss dropped their record down to 5-17-1. As for Walnut Grove, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 19-6.

Coming up, Sherman will challenge Anna at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Walnut Grove, they will be playing at home against McKinney North at 6:45 p.m. on Friday.
