Baseball Recap: Minarets Comes Up Short

If Minarets was feeling good fresh off their 13-3 takedown of Madera South on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Mustangs came up short against the Chowchilla Tribe on Friday, falling 11-1. The Mustangs haven't had much luck with the Tribe recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Minarets saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaydon VonWagner, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run. That triple was VonWagner's first of the season.

Minarets' defeat dropped their record down to 8-16. As for Chowchilla, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-12.

Coming up, Minarets will head out to face off against Parlier at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Mustangs are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Chowchilla, they will venture away from home to challenge Yosemite at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
