Maddux Brackett put up the most strikeouts he's had since back in May of 2024 on Thursday. He struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

Coming up, Brackett and Milwaukee Reagan will venture away from home to square off against Milwaukee King at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sadly, Brackett's big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped the Huskies' three-game streak of wins on the road.
