Basketball Game Preview: Idea Pflugerville Wizards vs. Founders Classical Academy Archers

The Idea Pflugerville Wizards will take on the Founders Classical Academy Archers at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

On Tuesday, Idea Pflugerville made easy work of IDEA Round Rock Tech and carried off a 55-29 victory. The Wizards have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 23 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Kabari Mitchell, who posted 29 points. That makes it nine consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Idea Pflugerville's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jermori Mercer, who earned eight points.

Meanwhile, Founders Classical Academy waltzed into their game on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They walked away with a 56-46 win over the Jaguars.

Founders Classical Academy is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.1 points per game. As for Idea Pflugerville, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Idea Pflugerville was taken down by Founders Classical Academy 67-20 in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Idea Pflugerville was down 44-14.
