Baseball Game Preview: Desert Vista Thunder vs. Hamilton Huskies + Official Tickets

Desert Vista hasn't had much luck against Hamilton recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Thunder will welcome the Huskies at 3:45 p.m. Desert Vista is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.1 runs per game this season.

Desert Vista took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They blew past Sunnyslope 13-3. The result was nothing new for the Thunder, who have now won 11 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Kason Webb spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on five hits and racked up nine Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Benjamin Romaine and Seth Skinner did most of the damage at the plate: Romaine went 3-for-4 with five RBI, one stolen base, and one run, while Skinner went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most hits Romaine has posted since back in May of 2025. Easton Foster was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Desert Vista was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .533. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sunnyslope only posted a batting average of .217.

Meanwhile, Hamilton suffered their closest loss since February 27th on Thursday. They fell just short of Basha by a score of 5-3. Huskies fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Bears since Thursday.

Desert Vista's victory bumped their record up to 19-4. As for Hamilton, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-6-1.
