Mission San Jose won the last time they faced Newark Memorial and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Warriors were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Cougars.

Mission San Jose walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-18, 25-20.

Allyson Wang paced Mission San Jose's offense, picking up ten kills. Wang got some help from Sumedha Mamidi and her 29 assists. Evelyn Ho controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Mission San Jose has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-9 record this season. As for Newark Memorial, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-16 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Mission San Jose will face off against rival Irvington at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Newark Memorial is set to challenge their familiar foe Kennedy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
