Baseball Game Preview: Fort Campbell Falcons vs. Crittenden County Rockets

Fort Campbell hasn't had much luck against Crittenden County recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Fort Campbell Falcons will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Crittenden County Rockets at 12:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Fort Campbell fell victim to University Heights and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Blazers, falling 15-0. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Crittenden County came up short against Union County on Thursday and fell 12-7. The Rockets haven't had much luck with the Braves recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Crittenden County got a good showing from Jake Rich, who tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.

On the hitting side, Eli Lovell made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in hits (two). Another player making a difference was Quinn Summers, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Crittenden County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Fort Campbell, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
