Softball Recap: Verona Comes Up Short

Verona was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 18-3 to the Wheaton Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 last Saturday.

Verona's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Wheaton, their victory ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-1.

Coming up, Verona will head out to face off against Pierce City at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Wheaton, they will welcome Hurley at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
