Basketball Recap: Jaki Threet and Jaleel Vincent Secure Win for Bridgeport

Bridgeport won against Tuscarawas Central Catholic on Saturday with 64 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Tuesday. The Bulldogs managed a 64-59 victory over the Catholic Central Crusaders. The Bulldogs' win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Leading Bridgeport to victory were Jaleel Vincent and Jaki Threet. Vincent shot 56% from the field on his way to 27 points and five rebounds, while Threet dropped a double-double with 13 points and 16 boards. The contest was Vincent's third in a row with at least 20 points. Coen Brinker was another key player, putting up nine points and six assists.

Bridgeport smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds every time they've taken the court this season.

Bridgeport's record is now 3-0. As for Catholic Central, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.
