Volleyball Recap: Poudre Community Academy Comes Up Short

Poudre Community Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 18th straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 3-1 to the Aurora West College Prep Academy Spartans. If the Warriors were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Spartans when the teams met back in November of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

The final score came out to 25-6, 25-22, 11-25, 25-12.

Lizett Diaz had a dynamite game For Aurora West College Prep Academy., getting 17 aces and eight assists. That's the most aces Diaz has posted since back in October of 2024.

Poudre Community Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-17. As for Aurora West College Prep Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-12.

Coincidentally, Poudre Community Academy and Aurora West College Prep Academy will both be playing William Smith the next time they take the court. The Warriors will host the Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Spartans will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
