Softball Recap: West Catholic Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Wayland, West Catholic was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They blew past the Comstock Park Panthers 20-10. The Falcons haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

West Catholic got a massive performance out of Isabella Perez, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those four RBI gave Perez a new career-high. Carly Taylor was another key player, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

West Catholic always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .651. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

West Catholic's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Comstock Park, their loss dropped their record down to 2-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: West Catholic beat the Panthers by a score of 19-4 later that day.
