Dexter Southfield got a great performance from Chase Hartsell as he struck out nine batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. That's the most strikeouts Hartsell has posted since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Patrick Bryan, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Grady Tempesta, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Phillips Exeter Academy came up short against Deerfield Academy on Saturday, falling 16-1. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Dexter Southfield's victory was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-2. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Phillips Exeter Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 3-11.
