Central moved up to 101 from 129 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail Division II. The Jaguars climbed the ranks as a result of beating West 39-16.
Central made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 6,451 from 7,979. The advance stemmed from a 39-16 victory over the Pioneers last week.
Goddard's dynamic duo of Collin Nevil and Austin Chippeaux proved tough for Carroll to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Nevil threw for 235 yards and one touchdown and Chippeaux had 97 yards receiving. Trey Douglas helped Goddard's passing attack out by catching five balls for 40 yards.
Mason Biberstein made the biggest impact on defense this week as Andover lost to Emporia. The senior recorded one fumble.
Keaton Canaday was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 19 carries, he ran for 144 yards as Valley Center lost to the Golden Eagles. Teammate Braden Tormey added to the ground attack by rushing for 16 yards.
Thanks to the talents of Nevil and Devin Bultmann Goddard has been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Nevil leads the league in passing with 1062 yards, while Bultmann has rushed for 655 yards this season. Eisenhower's Jacob Richardson leads the league in receiving yards with 410 on 22 catches.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Tigers take on Scott Vang's team. Eisenhower is currently in seventh, while the Lions are in fourth.
