Dan River has gone a perfect 8-0 against Martinsville recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Wildcats will challenge the Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Dan River has three straight wins, Martinsville has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Monday, Dan River got the win against Chatham by a conclusive 11-1. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by six runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, Martinsville came up short against George Washington on Friday and fell 4-1.

Dan River's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-6. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Martinsville, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-16.

Everything went Dan River's way against Martinsville in their previous meeting back in March, as Dan River made off with an 11-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
