Volleyball Recap: Carpinteria Comes Up Short

Carpinteria was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Fillmore Flashes. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Flashes this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in September.

Carpinteria's loss dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Fillmore, with the victory, they broke their three-match losing streak and moved their record to 3-8.

Carpinteria does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fillmore, they will head out on the road to square off against Thacher at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
