Baseball Recap: Grand County's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak at Home

Grand County fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Chinle on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chinle Wildcats.

Tatym Bisco and Jt Dowd did some serious damage despite the final result: Bisco scored three runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances, while Dowd scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4. That's the most stolen bases Bisco has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Trace York, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Grand County's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grand County will square off against Aztec at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Chinle, they will be taking part in a tournament against Needles at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday.
