Softball Game Preview: Cypress Lakes Spartans vs. Cypress Ranch Mustangs

Cypress Lakes hasn't had much luck against Cypress Ranch recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Spartans will head out to take on the Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. Cypress Lakes has given up an average of 9.3 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Things were looking good for Cypress Lakes after they put the first runs on the board on Friday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They came up short against Cypress Woods, falling 14-4. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Cypress Ranch had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 10-9 W against the Bulldogs.

Cypress Ranch's win bumped their record up to 15-7. As for Cypress Lakes, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-14.

Cypress Lakes might still be hurting after the 17-0 loss they got from Cypress Ranch in their previous matchup back in March. Can the Spartans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
