Volleyball Recap: Central Falls Makes It Seven in a Row on the Road

Central Falls had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt North Smithfield on Wednesday. The Warriors put the hurt on the Northmen with a sharp 3-0 victory. Winning may never get old, but the Warriors sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Central Falls was especially dominant in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-12, 25-21.

Jamilson De Pina Almeida paced Central Falls' offense, picking up 19 kills. De Pina Almeida got some help from Jovanny Lopez and his 25 assists. Finally, Nicholas Goncalves and Anthony Rodrigues kept the team grounded on defense, each having blocked three attacks.

Central Falls pushed their record up to 12-5 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for North Smithfield, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Central Falls will host Central at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for North Smithfield, they will face off against La Salle Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
