Softball Recap: Osawatomie Trojans vs. Wellsville Eagles
Osawatomie was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They wound up on the wrong side of a rough 16-6 walloping at the hands of the Wellsville Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Osawatomie of the 15-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2023.
KayLee Johns made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 3-for-4. Alyssa Haefele was another key contributor, scoring a run while going 3-for-3.
On Wellsville's side, Ava Taylor was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out nine batters over six innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off eight hits (and not a single walk).
